Being a Safety Professional is not easy, especially when it comes to ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. I remember taking my OSHA 30 years ago and it was a great course. I believe all safety managers should review it regularly, even though we may know the material by heart. It's the little things that stick with us, like the one lesson that has always stayed with me. The instructor emphasized the importance of not walking by when we see something unsafe. I appreciate you sharing this picture because it shows the impact of speaking up. We’re leaders of a different breed it is our responsibility to always say something when we witness something blatantly wrong. Our role is to protect lives and by speaking up, we can make a difference. If you ever have an employee who steps up and brings something to your attention, make sure to acknowledge their efforts. This is how we create a safety culture within our company

Let's Collaborate for Safer Seas!As maritime professionals, we have a shared responsibility to uphold the highest safety standards.Paris MoU has just launched its latest Comprehensive Inspection Campaign (CIC) for 2023, focusing on Fire Safety aboard ships. Fire safety is an indispensable aspect of maritime operations, ensuring the safety of crew members, vessels, and cargo. The newly released guidelines by Paris MoU aim to enhance and standardize fire safety measures across the industry, thereby promoting a safer and more secure maritime environment. What to Expect in the 2023 Fire Safety CIC?Rigorous inspections targeting fire prevention and firefighting systems.Verification of crew familiarity with firefighting equipment and emergency procedures. Assessment of fire detection and suppression systems' effectiveness. This CIC is not just a regulatory requirement; it's a proactive step towards preventing fire-related incidents at sea. By adhering to these guidelines, ship operators and crew members demonstrate their commitment to maritime safety and safeguarding lives. #MaritimeSafety #FireSafety #ParisMoU #CIC2023 #SafeSeasAhead
